Meet the Animals
The Ancient Breeds on our Farm
Animals are an important part of life at Between the Vines. They help steward the land and bring a sense of gentle curiosity to the fields.
Guests visiting the estate often encounter several heritage breeds that live here year-round.
Highland Cattle
Our Highland cows are known for their long coats and majestic nature. Originally from the rugged Scottish Highlands, these animals are well suited to outdoor living and peaceful grazing.

Southdown Babydoll Sheep
Babydoll sheep are a small heritage breed that graze the estate fields and help manage vegetation naturally. Their calm temperament makes them especially loved by visitors who love to see their natural "smiles".

Honeybees
Several hives on the estate support pollination of lavender, orchard blossoms, and wildflowers. Honey harvested from these hives reflects the changing landscape of the farm.

Chickens
Our heritage chickens provide blue, green and beige-coloured eggs and play an important role in maintaining the natural balance of the farmyard.
